About the Event

A subtle movement inquiry into conscious embodiment and engaging the breath of life.

In this hour-long, guided class, you will be offered the space to settle into your inner world of sensation, breath, and movement. Space to let your body rest, breathe, move, and let go of restrictive patterning. As your nervous system calms, your body shifts into a restorative, regenerative state, from which you can meet all aspects of yourself and your life with deepened engagement, presence and calm. I'm offering this class as a mid-week touchstone to ground into your inner nature and revel in the mystery that keeps your heart beating. After class, I invite you to stay for another 20 minutes for Q&A and community check-in.

Everyone is welcome. No prior experience is needed; the only prerequisite is having a body. If privacy is a concern for you, you are always welcome to join via audio only.

New to this work? Soma is a gentle, somatic movement and breath practice that fosters body awareness and deeper connection to your inner self and sensations, deeply rooted in the work of Continuum. Learn more here.

Wednesday evenings, 7 - 8:20 pm pacific time

Beginning January 18th.

Held on Zoom. Recordings will be available for participants to revisit during the week.

Participate live or via the recordings.

I have some work-study places open, and as always, some free spots for BIPOC and anti racism organizers. Please email to unabashedly inquire about those spaces.

Student reflections:

"I love Emma’s classes because I feel like I’m encouraged to be exactly where I am. She holds a solid container that welcomes and provides support for all physical and emotional states, without it feeling like a “fix it” approach. Her experiences as a  Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, movement and Continuum teacher, and artist all inform her teaching in a truly unique way. She understands bodies from multiple perspectives and speaks to the experiences of her students with grounded wisdom and compassion. When working with Emma, I feel guided in a strong, yet spacious way."

“Very much enjoying these class series. I definitely feel enriched by them. The combination of Emma’s training, knowledge and experience along with her artful soulful self is a very fine feast.”
