Cosmetic facial acupuncture

Using targeted stimulation with ultra-fine needles on the face, this treatment boosts collagen production, lifts and tones facial muscles, contours, de-puffs and smooths or prevents fine lines and wrinkles, reduces redness and acne scarring, and brightens the complexion. We release neck, jaw, and other facial muscle tension that create furrows, lines, sagging and asymmetries. At the same time, we work from the inside out, using whole-body rebalancing. Our internal health always manifests on the face. Correcting these internal issues and optimizing health creates a glow from within. This is especially true when treating skin issues such as acne and rosacea.

 

Each session begins with a consult and assessment on facial concerns, as well as overall health and wellness. Treatment includes face and body acupuncture (body points are used to balance the body, create that lift and glow, and address internal issues that are manifesting on the skin). While needles are in, you’ll relax while receiving light acupressure or hands-on energy work, similar to reiki. After needles are removed, we follow-up with jade crystal gua sha facial massage, which helps move qi and blood, lymphatic drainage, contouring and circulation. Most people require an annual series of 10-12 weekly or biweekly sessions.

Microneedling

Also known as medical needling or collagen-induction therapy, this treatment increases healthy production of collagen and elastin in the skin cells to address issues such as wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation and uneven, pitted skin. It also drastically enhances the absorption of serums by creating micro-channels in the skin. We strongly recommend microneedling over laser therapy and resurfacing treatments because micronneedling supports rather than destroys the the healthy skin barrier. Recovery time is very short, and best results appear 2 weeks after each treatment. Most individuals require 4-6 montly treatments, and results last up to 5 years.
